What did you do with your first free time when your children started school? The twins have just started at nursery in the afternoons and I thought I would have a little treat. Shoe shopping with twins is a nightmare. I tend to grab any pair and hope they fit. An solo shopping trip with the incredibly lovely people at Hotter was a real treat.
If you are anywhere near a Hotter shop then I would definitely recommend visiting rather than buying online. There is a new shop in Solihull and the customer service there was really excellent.
The shop is really attractively laid out with very comfy sofas. It feels like you are in an expensive coffee shop rather than a hectic shoe shop. It really allows you to take your time and browse rather than just rush and grab anything. The shoes are displayed well and it is easy to find exactly what you want.
The best thing about the Hotter Solihull shop is the staff. They were so helpful in helping to find exactly the right pair of shoes. I have bad memories of shoe shopping because I have quite wide feet. I remember shoe shopping as a child and being shown a range of pretty dainty shoes only to be left with the ugly ones because the pretty ones didn’t fit. Hotter do wide fittings and half sizes so you are certain to find shoes which fit you exactly.
Hotter are definitely the most comfortable shoes I have ever worn. It feels like you are wearing slipper outside. With the guidance of the staff I went for what is their most popular pair of shoes the Shake shoes. Apparently nurses often buy these ones and I can really see why. They are so comfortable yet look great as well and come in a range of colours and sizes.
The shoes cost £66 which is a great price for shoes which are so comfortable, go with anything and will last. I loved the other colours but went for black because I knew it would go with all my work clothes. As a teacher and mother I am on my feet all day at work and with the school run and then often have to take the kids to ballet or swimming after school. These shoes are so comfortable through all of it. Normally I can’t wait to take my work shoes off as soon as I get home but I don’t feel like that with these ones.
As you can tell I really loved the whole shopping experience and the shoes. The only problem I have with these shoes is that the twins like them just as much!
