Did you know Viking, the office materials supplier, do arts and crafts things too? I have used them a few times for stationary and office supplies and always been impressed with the efficient service but didn’t realise that they have a whole section of arts and crafts supplies too.
Like the office supplies the arts and crafts materials are at a really reasonable price. They are perfect for if you buy in bulk so would suit schools or child minders or just people like me who do lots of crafts.
I chose to review the felt sheets. This is 100 sheets of 23cm x 23cm felt which costs only £21.49. It comes in 25 colours and the felt is really good quality. Such a large supply will keep me going for a while but they have proved useful for making a felt number lines.
PlayColour Vibrant Paint Sticks
We also tried the Instant Playcolor set I am always looking for new colouring and painting supplies and these are brilliant if you want a paint effect without the mess.
These were perfect for the twins as they produce such a vibrant colour.
These cost £10.49 and as long as the twins remember to put the lids back on can be used many times. The can even paint on cardboard and wood.
Berol 24 Oil Pastels
We also tried some oil pastels. These are great for older children and really good for giving a different texture to drawings.
The effect is a bit like an oil painting but gives you a bit more control. These only cost £4.49 which means you could buy a few for a group.
There is a lovely range of colours to use.
There is so much on the Viking website that it is sometimes hard seeing exactly what is there. The arts and crafts are listed in Writing Instruments which is a little confusing at first but would be fine once you have used it once. Delivery is really quick and you often get a free gift depending on the cost of your purchase which makes for great customer relations. I will definitely be using Viking to order craft materials in the future.
Disclaimer: I was sent the craft materials for the purposes of this review
