It’s Molly’s 7th birthday next month and top of her wish list was a Skip-It game. We were pretty thrilled when we were asked to review it. The new toy is from Hasbro and is aimed at girls aged between 6 and 14 so it will last us a really long time. We had seen this in the shop and Molly said straight away she wanted it. the packaging looks great and makes it seem really fun and grown up.

The toy gets my seal of approval as well because it is designed to get kids outside and active. It is actually really brilliant exercise because the competitive element keeps you going when you are already tired. Molly is fairly active but it had her puffed out.

the Skip-It Twister looks great and doesn’t take up much space. It can be hung up easily in a cupboard. You put it on one foot and skip over. Four coloured lights appear encouraging you to keep going. You do need a bit of space top play with this. We used the front drive to make sure there was enough room, the only problem was the surface was really hard and left a few scuffs on the toy. Grass would be better if you had a bigger lawn than ours.

Once you’ve mastered the technique there are some further tricks you can try. As you can see it takes a lot of concentration. The Skip-It costs £19.99 and this is good value for something the children can play with for such a long amount of time.
