London has a lot of things to do. That is a simple fact. Not all of them are suitable for kids though, but many of them are great for the whole family. Here are some amazing ways to spend your day and keep the kids entertained at the same time.
Museums
London has some of the best, most thorough and well-loved museums in the world. The Natural History Museum and Science Museum can be a full day trip each if you want to really get the most out of them. They both feature children friendly exhibits including great things to look at and interactive displays. This way the kids can enjoy learning about different animals or scientific areas and adults can read in more detail if they want to. The British Museum and Maritime Museum are also worth a visit if you find their content interesting and they are also super kid friendly.
Food
Everybody has to eat but it doesn’t need to be a stressful or worrisome ordeal. London has plenty of great restaurants and cafes. The Association is located just next to the Gherkin and is a fantastic cafe.It serves small lunches, pastries, tea and coffee. If you are in the area and are looking for a bite then it is a great choice. If, however, you are after something more substantial then you won’t go wrong with Sticky Fingers. It has some great choice with meals like bbq ribs, burgers as well vanilla ice cream thrown in for free. It is kid friendly and serves some great food. Although if you are exhausted from the day’s activities then you could always order food online to your apartment or wherever you are staying through somewhere like Deliveroo. They’ll deliver restaurant quality food straight to your doorstep and they have a great selection so the kids can have whatever they want.
Other Activities
London has some amazing parks that aren’t to be missed. If you manage to catch the city on a nice day when the sun is out, then a visit to a park will definitely go down well. If the weather is still on your side then Kew Gardens is a great day out with lots to do and soaring treetop walkway that is fun for the whole family. However, if the kids are Harry Potter fans then they will love the Harry Potter London Tour. It showcases the making of Harry Potter by taking you to where it was filmed, showing how things like Dobby the House Elf works and a visit to the reptile house at London Zoo.
