Best known for its rolling vineyards and historic culture, Italy can also be a great place to take the kids. 

There are 20 different regions in this stunning country, and some are more child-friendly than others. So, let’s take a look at the top 5 regions in this beautiful country that are perfect to take the children.

1. Sardinia

When it comes to child-friendly regions, Sardinia is tough to beat. Not only is there plenty of activities and attractions for kids here, but the locals are also warm, friendly and welcoming to families. 

No matter which part of Sardinia you head to, you can be sure there’s lots of family-friendly activities. In eastern Sardinia, you and the kids can enjoy a more adventurous getaway, with activities such as cave exploring, biking and climbing. If it’s beaches you’re looking for, northern Sardinia is ideal, while western Sardinia is a watersports haven. 

2. Sicily

5. Maggiore

Another picturesque region which is perfect for kids, is Maggiore. There’s so much choice here with activities to suit the entire family. From cable car rides and water parks, to tours around a chocolate factory and scenic train trips; you’re sure to find something the kids will love here. The scenery is absolutely spectacular too.
