Emotion Pets Playfuls – Review

Emotion Pets Playfuls

You can tell how much Charlotte loves this monkey emotion pet by looking at the delight on her face. I’m not sure cheeky monkeys are the best role model for her – but still. There are two different monkey available and we were sent Coco – an especially cute red monkey. He has a lovely face and soft fur and the girls all found him very appealing.

For me the best thing about the toy was that his large hands and feet interlock so it feels like he is really cuddling you.

His long tail is delightfully fluffy and it even means he can hang up – like a real monkey.

The sounds are cute and very realistic and Charlotte really enjoyed the cute eating noise he makes when you put food to his face.  He moves a lot – pretending to go to sleep and swishing his tail. I was a bit disappointed that the motor noise of the tail is so loud and is really distracting, except for that it is very realistic – but the motor noise reminds you that it is a toy. Luckily this didn’t bother the twins though.

The emotion pets playfuls cost around £34.99 and need 3 AAA batteries.

Disney Princess Deluxe Figure Playset – Review

Disney Princess Deluxe Figure Playset

The Disney store is an irresistible lure for my girls whenever we go shopping. They all have their favourites but the Disney princesses are a constant.

Disney Princess Deluxe Figure Playset

I think everyone has their favourite Disney princess – mine is Belle – a feisty brunette, with her head in a book. Molly likes Rapunzel and Snow White and Rosie likes Ariel and Sleeping Beauty because they are dressed in pink – which is her favourite colour.

Disney Princess Deluxe Figure Playset

The best thing about this play set is that it has all your favourite princesses. It is great for a family because they can each have a figure or two. It would make a lovely combined present if you were buying a joint present for a family.

The toys are very well made with a hard plastic which has a lovely finish to it. Some of the dresses have a shine on them which really looks like satin. There is a lovely attention to detail with these toys with lace on the bottom of the dresses and expressive faces. They would look lovely on a child’s mantlepiece as a display. Of course they are meant to be played with and they would fit in with existing toys even if you don’t have any other Disney characters. The children enjoyed playing with them with a castle we already had and they fit beautifully and it gave new life to a toy they haven’t played with for a while.

The figures are static but that means you can use you imagination and they can do whatever you want them to do. I have included a short video of the twins playing with the toys. They are having a party and dancing to the hockey cokey. As I’m sure all princesses do when they get together.

The figures included in the pack are Cinderella, Snow White, Sleeping Beauty, Mulan, Ariel, Rapunzel, Aurora, Jasmine, Pocahontas and Tiana. The set costs £20 – and I think that’s a good price for a product which will keep any Disney princess fan happy for hours.
