he girls were applying for their Diamond Blue Peter badges to celebrate the shows 60th Birthday. Charlotte decided to make some sparkly birthday slime for the question how would you share your love of Blue Peter with your friends.

This slime would work well for any special birthday – either as a gift for the birthday child or as favours for your guests. You would just need to change the birthday sequins and the colour of the slime.

We used:

  • 1 cup clear PVA glue
  • 1tsp bicarbonate of soda
  • contact lens solution
  • glitter
  • number sequins
  • plastic table gems
  • plastic container with a lid
  • sticky gems

Charlotte mixed a batch of transparent slime. We don’t really use a recipe. We add the clear glue and a teaspoon of bicarbonate of soda the mix in the contact lens solution until it isn’t too sticky. After that just add whatever sparkly gems you want – as many as possible. We finished with an old Blue Peter badge.

We decorated the box with sticky gems. You could buy smaller pots to give it as favours or even make it as one of the activities at a party.

Sparkly Birthday Slime

This slime is really stretchy and you can see the numbers as you pull it.

Charlotte made two batches of the slime, one for her to show her friends and one to send into Blue Peter. I hope it gets there in one piece and doesn’t leak!

We love this slime. It is so versatile. You could add any sort of sequins in the middle – it would suit Christmas or Easter.

Charlotte was really happy with her slime idea and definitely going to make more of it.

Pin for later!
