Last week we visited Rush Trampoline Park in Birmingham. The girls had been before but it was on an Inset Day when I was at work. I was amazed by the size. There is so much to do and it is fun for all ages. There is even a dedicated toddler section where little people can bounce in safety.
It is definitely worth planning your visit carefully as it does get busy and the car park is not easy to navigate. We found our SATNAV pointed us in the wrong direction, so keep an eye out for the signs. It is worth booking online as you can get a discount and also see when it is particularly busy. It would be nice if there was a fast track queue for people who pay online, this would really speed things up.
You need to get to Rush at least twenty minutes early, if not more. You need time to check in and watch the safety video before you bounce. You also need to sign a waiver, although you can do this online and it lasts for a year after. We were pleased to find there were free to use lockers at the entrance so you can store all your things safely. You also need to wear the Rush socks which you can purchase when you sign in or online.
We went during a wet Saturday afternoon so it was really busy. Even so, once we were inside we found there was always space on a trampoline and the queues for each thing were really short. We didn’t feel at all squashed and really enjoyed the whole time we were there.
The girls love watching shows like Wipeout and American Gladiator and many of the areas are themed to match. They really enjoyed trying to knock each other off the balance beams. All the areas are well padded and you land in big cubes of foam which are so comfortable and soft. I just wanted to lie in them and never get out.
There is a fun assault course which will really push your agility and strength. It is wonderful to set yourself a challenge and then accomplish it. Not only are you having fun but it gives you a sense of self-esteem. The Trampoline Park is clean and brightly decorated. There are lots of friendly and approachable staff who keep an eye on everyone and make sure they are following the rules. We found they also helped the girls when they were feeling scared and were reassuring. This makes the whole thing much more pleasurable.
You can even have a go at the Wipeout Zone where you can play with your friends to jump over and go under the machine.
We had a brilliant time at Rush Trampoline Park and will definitely be going again. hour of bouncing costs £11 if you book online. It is lovely to have somewhere indoors where you can exercise together as a family or a group of friends, even when the weather is bad. It doesn’t feel like exercising because it is so much fun. You can challenge yourself to try something new or just have fun bouncing about.
Disclaimer: We were given a family ticket for the purposes of this review.
