We had a really rainy half term holiday and after a day inside the girls were really needing a bit of time to themselves. I thought it would be nice to make them a little quiet reading area so they could have a bit of time on their own. As it was so rainy I thought it would be nice to give it a rainbow theme in the hope of tempting some sunshine.
This was so simple to make. All I used was some lengths of rainbow coloured tulle and a wire coat hanger. I bent the coat hanger so that the bottom formed an arch and then tied the tulle to it in a rainbow. Then hung it up.
I made a comfy seat for the girls to sit in using a cushion and some sparkly fabric and then left some books for them to read.
This is the perfect area for one. I think I might go and hide in there when it all gets a bit too much. The good thing is you can just move the coat hanger to a different area or just pack it away so it doesn’t take up any space.
