Princess Palace Pets

The girls have been playing with the Princess Palace Pets since Christmas. This is a free app which features the pets of their favourite Disney princesses. The twins especially love princesses and really enjoy styling their pets. They were therefore delighted when they opened a box and found their favourite animals made into real toys.

Disney Princess Palace Pets Pamper and Beauty Salon Set

You don’t need to have played with the app to see why these would appeal to small children. Aimed at children aged 4+ this Pamper and Beauty Salon is really sweet. It comes with Rapunzel’s kitten named Summer who has long hair the same as her owner for little ones to style.

Even though there are lots of fiddly bits and pieces in the set I didn’t find it too frustrating to open. The packaging was well designed. Also you didn’t need batteries and could start playing straight away. The Salon comes with a bath and chair for doing the animal’s hair. Molly (aged 6) liked the chair best because it can move and you can pretend you’re at a real pet salon. She says their hair is beautiful because you can brush it and it has lots of pretty sparkles in it.

The salon costs £34.99 which would be a little out of my budget but I could see it being a popular toy for birthday presents this year. The good thing we have found is that you can use it with other toys and not just the pets. The twins put all their princess figures in the bath so they were ready for the ball.

Disney Princess Palace Pets Primp and Pamper Pony – Bibbidy

We were also sent a few of the other Princess Palace Pets toys to try. The girls all liked the pony the best. This is Bibbidy, Cinderella’s pony who has a lovely pink mane and some beautiful accessories, including a carriage shaped container for her hair bands. This costs £7.99 and would be great as a stand alone toy.

Disney Princess Palace Pets Furry Tail Friends – Pumpkin

Pumpkin is Cinderella’s cute puppy, Pumpkin. With a fluffy tail and a beautiful tiara which you can remove this was a big hit with the girls and only cost £5.99

Disney Princess Palace Pets Talking and Singing Pets – Pumpkin

There is also a large version of Pumpkin. This one costs £12.99 and there is a bit more detail on the toy, especially the tiara. This puppy also sings when you press it’s necklace and says a few phrases. Charlotte really loved the fact it could talk as you can see in the video review.

These are really sturdy toys which will be well loved by the girls. They are great for a child who loves princesses and would like a pet of their own.
