Playmobil is one of our favourite toys. It is so detailed it is like mini works of art! I have been a bit reluctant to have Playmobil for the twins as there are so many tiny pieces I was worried they would lose them – or worse. Which is why I was pleased to review the Playmobil 1.2.3. range which is specially deigned for children under 4 (the clues in the name). This is a robust set of toys which I can leave the twins to play with and I won’t worry it will get broken or lost.
Playmobil 1.2.3 Meadow Path
I was amazed when I saw the price of the Playmobil 1.2.3 Meadow farm. For only £14.99 you get a lovely play set for little ones with an outdoor theme. The pieces are easy to put together so little hands can do it themselves. There are three Playmobil characters and 4 cute little animals. The Playmbobil people are a bit chunkier in the 1.2.3 set but still have the friendly Playmobil face.

Even though this is a smaller set there are lots of possibilities for imaginative play. It also fits well with the other sets.
There is still a good amount of detail in the Meadow Walk. The twins really love the little squirrel hiding in the tree.

One of the best things for me is that there are no really large pieces. You could store this in a shoe box and just get it out every now and then. It would be a lovely set to take on holiday as there is just enough for little ones to do without it being too bulky. I also like how you can set it out anyway you choose. Small world play is so good for little ones to be in control of their world and this set really allows that.

Playmobil 1.2.3. Park Playground
The twins adore this park playground. It is so cute and brightly coloured and they can pretend they are at the park on days when it is raining outside. Again I was impressed with the price. This set only costs £9.99. but you get such a nice amount of toys to play with. This would be a lovely birthday present as it doesn’t matter if the child has any other Playmobil as they can just play with that.

The set comes with three children as well as a slide, sandpit and swing and a pretty flower too. It is really well made and the swing is designed so it won’t trap little fingers. This kept Charlotte and Rose entertained for over an hour. They are four in June, so at the top of the age range for this toy but it gave them lots of ideas for play.

If you have toddlers then I would definitely recommend getting the Playmobil 1.2.3. sets. They really stimulate creative play. They are perfect so little ones can have their own lego and you can rest easy they will be safe and happy.
The other thing Playmobil teaches is cooperation and sharing! The twins both love the slide and swing so much. You would think they would be happy as one can play with the slide and one the swing but no – they have to argue over whichever the other one has! It shows just how popular this toy is though.
