PJ Masks Power Heroes: Mighty Alliance is an action-packed adventure set in the world of the hit TV show PJ Masks. The game follows an original storyline where the PJ Masks travel beyond Earth and into space to save the day! When an experiment goes wrong at their super-secret headquarters, PJ Power Q, Catboy, Owelette, and Gekko must band together once again to collect the special technology that has been scattered.
Gameplay Style
This is a mixture of traditional side-scrolling with additional wall climbing and vehicle driving action-adventure game. It features 4 unique locations to explore, each with their own exciting brand new missions and mischievous new enemies. There are 8 playable characters with unique abilities. Players can scale vertical walls as Gekko, glide with An Yu’s Dragon Staff, and stun enemies with Bastet’s Sun Disk. As players progress, they will need to solve puzzles and avoid obstacles like Robots, Ninjalinos, and electric Moon Balls, before going up against a boss battle in each of the 4 locations.
Game Playing Fun Factor
The game takes the best bits from the predecessor, ‘PJ Masks: Heroes of the Night’ and takes things to new hights in a creative new levels with fu challenges that are ideal for younger gamers. Fans of the show can look forward to driving the Explorider, the official PJ Masks all-purpose vehicle. The game’s unique abilities for each character and the variety of missions make it a fun and engaging experience for players.
What Could Be Improved About The Game?
While the game is packed with action and adventure, it could benefit from more diverse gameplay mechanics to keep the players engaged for longer periods. Additionally, the game could include more interactive elements within the environment to enhance the player’s experience. Each level, while being very accessible for smaller hands with less dexterity, feel quite similar and linear. One particular gripe was the game mechanics and animation. What we mean is that when trying to jump and get on to a set of ledges it was difficult to be accurate which meant many falls and consequently unhappy players! Lastly, the difficulty level of the puzzles could be adjusted to cater to a wider range of age groups, making the game more accessible to younger players.

PJ Masks Power Heroes: Mighty Alliance’ earns 4 out of 5 from us. Just like its predecessor, it’s a welcome addition to the PlayStation library for the younglings. It provides another great pick-up-and-play option for rainy days inside.
Our girls had many laugh out loud moments. The main cause of their mirth was intentionally bumping the characters into things they should and hearing the character say “oh!”.
This game is a fantastic entry-level game for kids, teaching them the basics of game control which will be useful for progressing to more advanced games later on. A great entry point for young ones into the world of platform games.
The game mechanics require patience, teaching kids to use the controls correctly and rewarding their efforts. The unique abilities of each character and the variety of missions add to the fun factor, making it an engaging experience for players. It’s ESRB Video Game Ratings For Parents
While there are areas for improvement, the overall experience is positive. The game successfully builds on the success of its predecessor while introducing new elements that enhance gameplay.
