The Smart Globe Explorer looks really impressive and would be a fantastic Christmas present. It is the most expensive globe in the range costing £129.99 and has so many exciting features. It is suitable for children aged 5 to adult. There are three age range settings: 5 to 8, 9 to 14 and 15+ so the globe grows up with your child.
The globe looks fantastic and would make a lovely centrepiece in a child’s bedroom or study. The globe measures 34 x 34 x 42 cm and doesn’t require batteries.
It comes with a cool Wireless Talking Smart Pen shaped like a space shuttle and a pull-out tray with a local map allows children to explore the United Kingdom & Ireland in greater detail.
The Smart Globe Explorer is easy and fun to use. You simply choose the correct age range and use the Smart Pen to explore wherever you want on the globe. You can learn so many facts simply by tapping on different parts of the globe. Each feature offers just a little more content than you expect when you click on the names of the country it also plays the National Anthem from that country.
There are over 42 educational games and activities. We particularly enjoyed finding as many countries as we could before the timer ran out. It really tested my knowledge as well as the girls especially as you go up the levels. There are two languages available, English and French. You can even find more languages on the website as well as update information so that it is always current and up to date.
It is so rewarding to see an improvement in your skills and knowledge. It really is priceless. The Smart Globe Explorer AR makes learning fun, you really don’t feel like you are working hard.
We had been happily playing with the globe for a week before we remembered it had Augmented Reality capability. There is a free app which you can download on the app store which makes the Smart Globe come to life with even more information about the landscape, animals, landmarks, dinosaurs, Earth core and the Solar System.
Just when you thought there was everything you could learn about the globe there is an additional surprise in that the Smart Globe opens so you can learn about the Earths core inside and even the Solar System.
This is a really brilliant educational tool which the whole family can play and learn together.
