The best thing about having kids who are really little is that it doesn’t cost as much to keep them entertained. Well as long as it isn’t raining. My girls love going on a nature hunt. It’s a really simple activity, as you don’t need any specialist equipment – except for welly boots if it’s muddy.
All you need is a lovely park or woodland, seaside or lake.
The photos here are all taken from Center Parcs which is wonderful for nature walks as there are lots of woodland areas and lakes and small pools. There was so much wildlife to be seen – and even more if you didn’t have really noisy ones with you. The other good thing is that as well as walking you can bike everywhere – this is great for a nature hunt – especially for little ones who get to travel in the trailer. You go fast enough to get places quickly but slowly enough not to miss a thing.
All of these creatures can be seen on a nature hunt in Britain. If you are quiet enough.
You might even be lucky enough to spot one of these – well if your nature hunt is on December 25th!
