Are your children in a Nativity this year? If so then you will love this cute idea for a kid made Christmas card. Children look so adorable in their costumes one of the best things about being a parent is watching the Nativity performance and probably shedding a few tears. This is an event you will want to remember forever so makes the perfect card. It would work brilliantly if you are a teacher because you can take the children’s pictures in their costumes and use them to make a card to send home. My children are not in a Nativity this but look very cute decorated as angels with some fabric scraps.
You Will Need
- A4 Black card
- lolly sticks
- brown paper
- shredded crepe paper/hay
- sequins
- yellow card
- glitter
- PVA glue
Method
- Use a piece of black card folded in half
- Make a stable shape using the craft sticks
- Fill the shape with brown paper
- Add some sequin stars or snowflakes to the sky
- Shred some yellow and orange crepe paper to add hay to the bottom of the picture. You could use real hay if you have some
- Cut out a big star and stick to the top of the stable and add plenty of glitter
- Cut out the photo and stick to the front
- Decorate with Christmas clothes if they are not wearing a costume
- We are making these next week and I can’t wait! I hope the parents like them
I was so pleased that this fits perfectly! You can cut the front of the card to fit the shape to give it a 3D feel.
