Muddyfox Landslide Mountain Bike Review

Muddyfox landslide mountain bike

This weekend we have been testing the zinc Muddyfox landslide mountain bike from Argos . We are getting near the point when we can all take cycle rides as a family. My husband is a  cycling enthusiast but favours road bikes which aren’t suitable for family bike rides. We wanted a mountain bike that he could take out in all weathers, which would look good and be an easy ride, but we didn’t want a big price tag as it wouldn’t get used every day.

The bike is a great price for a starter model, or for if you will be riding it infrequently. At the time of ordering it was around £100, although that was during the sale, the RRP is £199.99. The best feature of the bike is what a smooth ride it gives. I’m reliably informed that this is because of it’s dual suspension. Anything which means you will be comfortable on a long ride sounds like a good idea. We have only had chance to test it on the roads and canals so far but it looked like it would be suitable for more bumpy paths.

There are 18 gears which gives it lots of versatility. There is a twist grip change of gear which makes it really easy to adjust in the middle of a bike ride.

Argos delivered the bike really quickly and there was great communication about when it would arrive. The bike was easy to assemble – although if you have never put together a bike before it might be best to at least get it checked over at a bike shop. When put together the bike looks really good. The white is really stylish and I think would be a popular choice among teenagers who would like the ice white.

The only complaint was that the seat was a little uncomfortable, so you might want to invest in one of those padded seat covers for a more cosy ride. Also there isn’t muchroom to adjust the seat so you do need to make sure it will be the right length for your height.
