We were sent a brilliant puzzle to review form Ravensburger. This looks like a puzzle for older children but is in fact brilliantly designed on thick card for 18 month olds onwards. The twins are always trying to get their hands on their big sister’s things so this was perfect.
The puzzle is really bright and fun with two favourite disney characters Minnie and Daisy. They are from the popular children’s show Mickey Mouse’s clubhouse. We don’t have the channel it’s on but it has a ridiculously catchy theme tune which I end up singing for weeks at a time.
There are actually four puzzles in the box which get progressively harder. The first has only 2 piece, which is perfect for little hands. The twins were very keen to try this puzzle, although they were only really successful at taking the pieces apart. They had a good go at joining them together and after a few more attempts I think they will be able to do it. The other puzzles are in 3,4 and 5 pieces. Molly enjoyed doing them as well and I guess sometimes it’s good to do something and find it easy.
You can tell by the pictures that this puzzle was a big hit. They were concentrating so much on what they were doing and were totally absorbed by the puzzle. It is great for improving hand eye coordination and is one I’m sure we’ll come back to many times.
Ravensburger will also launch three more designs later in the year including the “On the Farm” set, a “Travel Far” set and the “On Safari” set featuring colourful images of Hippo, Trunk, Zeb and Roar.
