The girls have always loved playing with marble runs. They only problem with them is that you generally have to follow the instructions to make the marble run which means that it isn’t as much fun to play once you have made it once. The Hubelino Marble Run solves this problem perfectly. It is perfect for making lots of different marble runs, you can follow the instructions or design your own.
The reason the Hubelino Marble Run has so much versatility is because it is designed to fir in with building bricks. We were sent the 85 piece set which comes with lots of building bricks as well as pieces to make the marble run and lots of coloured balls.
Molly loved this set and it has already given her hours of pleasure making marble runs. At first we followed the designs in the booklet which came with the set. These were easy to follow (as long as you weren’t sitting on any of the pieces as happened a few times!) and produced fun marble runs.
I liked the size of the balls as they are quite big which means that they are safer and also less easy to lose.
After we made the ones in the instructions we made our own versions. This is brilliant for spacial awareness and problem solving.
The range of pieces on the marble run means that there are tunnels and crossings as well as speedy acceleration points, all which make it fun to watch the marble going round.
The marble run is fully compatible with other brick sets. It is really sturdy and well made and fits completely with the other bricks we have. This means you really can design any marble run you want. You could build a house and design a sliding staircase to go in it using the Hubelino Marble Run pieces.
We really love this toy. It is suitable for children aged 3+ and is really fun and creative. Costing £54.99 for the starter set of 85 pcs this may not be the cheapest toy but it will provide hours of fun.
