Over the Summer we were invited to a fun event at The Think Tank Birmingham with ao.com. The event was designed to show us how to be an allergenius and to deal with allergies. Luckily none of my children have developed an allergy as yet. Apparently 1 in 4 of us have an allergy, I do suffer mildly with hayfever every year and am always looking for ways to minimise the effect of pollen.
The girls enjoyed colouring some germs while the adults learnt about how the new Hotpoint washing machines have an allergy setting on them which gives and extra rinse at 60 degrees to kill of all the allergens. This would be a great feature if you have pets or suffer badly from allergies.
I would definitely recommend using ao to order large appliances. In the last year we have bought a washing machine and a fridge freezer and were really impressed with the service. The prices were really competitive and it is so easy to find what you are looking for. The main reason I love the service is that you can order and get your new appliance the very next day as well as choose your time slot. They will also fit and take away your old machines. This is all great for when you have a product which breaks down and I will definitely use ao.com for buying appliances like this in the future.
The girls loved making pretty flowers with tissue paper and pipe cleaners.
After we had lunch we explored the Think tank. The girls love the children’s city where there is a child size cafe with real telephones you can use to phone the other areas.
They also enjoyed playing in the large water area.
Outside there were lots of interesting experiments to do in the science garden and we also found a couple of colourful owls as part of The Big Hoot owl hunt.
