Although it’s only February, I am really looking forward to Spring. There are signs of it already, with flowers starting to bloom and some milder days. A new season, means new clothing and shoe lines are starting to hit the shops. The new season at Hotter is full of fresh, Spring colours and designs you can wear to finally get outdoors. Even the shoe box they arrive in, is a Spring green colour.
I was asked to choose something from the new season and it was particularly hard as there were so many lovely things. I eventually decided on these lovely Lesley shoes. A loafer style, I thought they would work well with skirts and trousers. They would be perfect for Spring walks through the woods or on the beach, but also keep my feet comfortable during long days at work.
However, even when I had chosen the style there was still the problem of which colour to pick. There are three styles to choose. A mint green and a nautical navy. I went for the mauve shadow. It is a really soft pretty shade which makes a change for the usual black shoes I wear.
The shoes themselves look lovely, with a punched detail to let your skin breathe. I like the buckle detail on the adjustable strap. This lets you fit the shoe closely to your feet, which makes them even more comfortable.
Inside the shoes are a dream. Cushioned soles make you feel like you are wearing slippers. The shoes are made from nubuck, which is a rubbed leather which feels like suede. They cost £69 and are available in sizes 3-9, including half sizes. These are a lovely shoe to add a spring to your step as March finally arrives. Let’s hope we have some weather to match.
