When I was asked if I wanted to review some socks I wasn’t sure, even though they were specialist socks. Although I had heard good things about Heat Holders I couldn’t be sure it would make particularly interesting post. However, we were just about to go on our first family ski holiday and we desperately needed kit, so I thought I would have a go.
Luckily the product was Heat Holders Ski Socks and we would highly recommend them.
Children make the most discerning reviewers. If they don’t like something you will know about it. There is no way they will wear or use a product they hate but if they love something you will never get it off them. I had bought Molly a selection of other ski socks, but the only ones she would wear were the Heat Holders socks. She called them Fluffy Feet and she wouldn’t take them off even after a hard morning skiing.
The reason she liked them so much was because they made her feet nice and toasty. They are very soft inside like putting your feet into a pillow. She also liked the colour particularly the stripy purple and pink socks.
Molly put the socks on in the morning and wore them to breakfast without shoes as they were so thick. The most important thing was that they protected her feet during skiing whilst keeping her really snug.
The rest of the day, she wore them pulled up as if they were leg warmers. It was a slightly eccentric look I’ll grant you, but it was proof of how much she loved them.
They were really good when we went up to the top of the mountain at Les Deux Alpes. Although it had been warm on the bottom slopes, it was chilly at 3600 feet.
Heat Holders cost just £5. I think this is a great price for a specialist thermal sock which will keep your feet warm and actually would have guessed they cost a lot more.
These are going to come in handy in the Winter and for camping trips and I’m definitely going to buy myself a pair or two if we go skiing again.
Disclaimer: I was sent three pairs of Heat Holders for the purposes of this review.
