If you love Pinterest you will know there is one thing it excels at: providing mouthwatering recipes you can’t wait to try. One area which I am a complete novice on is barbecues. We were sent a portable BBQ to review recently and so need a bit of help getting started with what to make. So of course the first place I would go for ideas is Pinterest to get some inspiration.
I have board dedicated to BBQ ideas. On my board there is everything you need for the perfect BBQ – recipes of course, drinks ideas, decorations, music and clothes.
One of my favourite ideas from it is to have baked bananas for pudding. This is a great idea from What’s Gabby Cooking. I love it because I’ve never tried it before and it’s so simple.
So at the weekend we fired up the BBQ and gave it a go. This is so easy to prepare and would work well if you were camping. We had a bit of a twist on the recipe. To make it we simply grilled some bananas on the BBQ. We kept them whole and didn’t put them in foil but you can if you want. Then we topped with chocolate and fudge sauce and lots of sprinkles. With a couple of scoops of ice cream it really feels like a decadent pudding. To keep it a bit healthier we had some Greek yogurt which was just as tasty.
As you can imagine the pudding went down very well with the girls! I think it will be a firm family favourite.
