What’s This Game About?
Our rating 4/5
We recently had the opportunity to try out the new game, Gigantosaurus: Dino Sports, and we have to say, the kids and I were impressed. This game, based on the popular Disney Junior show, allows players to take on the role of their favourite dinosaur characters and play a variety of sports games. From racing to football, there’s something for everyone in this game.
One of the things we loved about Gigantosaurus: Dino Sports was the attention to detail. The graphics are bright and colourful, and the characters are all instantly recognisable from the TV show. The controls are easy to pick up, but there’s plenty of depth to the gameplay for those who want to master each sport. Plus, with both single-player and multiplayer modes available, there’s always a new challenge to tackle.

Gameplay Style
Gameplay Mechanics
When it comes to gameplay mechanics, Gigantosaurus: Dino Sports offers a fun and engaging experience for players of all ages. The game features a variety of different sports, each with their own unique challenges and mechanics. From racing to football, players will have plenty of opportunities to test their skills and compete against their friends.
One of the standout features of the game is the ability to play as one of four different dinosaur characters, each with their own strengths and weaknesses. This adds an extra layer of strategy to the gameplay, as players must choose the right character for each sport in order to maximize their chances of winning.
In addition to the main sports, there are also a number of mini-games and challenges to keep players entertained. These range from simple memory games to more complex puzzles, and are a great way to break up the action and add some variety to the gameplay.
Unfortunately, we don’ have 4 game pads so we couldn’t test out the 4 player mode but we can image it would be a real blast to have the whole family screaming at the telly! Maybe this is the game that forces us to buy 2 more pads!

Graphics and Audio
In terms of graphics and audio, Gigantosaurus: Dino Sports is a real treat. The game features bright and colourful visuals that really bring the prehistoric world to life. The character designs are also top-notch, with each dinosaur having its own unique look and personality.
The audio is equally impressive, with a catchy soundtrack and fun sound effects that really add to the overall experience. From the roar of a T-Rex to the sound of a soccer ball hitting the back of the net, everything sounds great and helps to immerse players in the game.
Game Playing Fun Factor
Storyline and Character Development
We were pleasantly surprised by the storyline and character development in Gigantosaurus: Dino Sports. The game follows the adventures of four young dinosaur friends who compete in various sports challenges against other dinosaur teams. Each character has their own unique personality and abilities, which adds an extra layer of depth to the gameplay.
The storyline is engaging and keeps us interested in progressing through the game. We enjoyed the different challenges and obstacles that we had to overcome, and the character development made us feel invested in the outcome of the story.
Multiplayer Experience
The multiplayer experience in Gigantosaurus: Dino Sports is where the game really shines. We had a blast playing with our friends and family, competing against each other in the various sports challenges. The multiplayer mode is well-designed and easy to navigate.

What Could Be Improved About The Game?
Similar Games in the Genre
As we played Gigantosaurus: Dino Sports, we couldn’t help but notice the similarities to other games in the genre. The gameplay mechanics, such as running and completing challenges, are tried and true and have been seen in many other games. While the inclusion of dinosaurs adds a unique element, the overall gameplay experience feels somewhat repetitive and lacks variety. But that’s ok for a game targeted at younger players.
Innovation and Originality
While the inclusion of dinosaurs in a sports game is definitely a unique concept, we feel that Gigantosaurus: Dino Sports could benefit from more innovation and originality in terms of gameplay mechanics. The game could potentially explore more creative ways to incorporate the dinosaurs into the gameplay, rather than simply using them as characters in a standard sports game.

Is This Game Suitable For Younger Kids?
Yes definitely. At its core, Gigantosaurus: Dino Sports is a game designed for children. With its colourful graphics, simple gameplay mechanics, and cute characters, it’s clear that the game’s target audience is younger kids. But, when the competitive spirit strikes, it can become a fun family game to pick up and play.
Another thing to note is that the game does require a certain level of reading ability, as there are instructions and dialogue boxes that pop up throughout the game. However, these are always presented in a clear and easy-to-read font, and are accompanied by helpful illustrations to aid comprehension.
Overall, we believe that Gigantosaurus: Dino Sports is a fun and engaging game that is well-suited to younger children. While there are a few minor concerns to be aware of, the game’s positive qualities far outweigh any potential negatives.
