Even if you love going back to school you can’t help but avoid a few last minute nerves. Six weeks is such a long time off school, that it’s no wonder children feel nervous. You want them to start a new term and ready to face whatever challenges come their way. It’s why choosing school uniform is so important. With a crisp, smart new school uniform from Marks & Spencer, they will be set up for the new school year and will not only look the part but will feel it too.
The main thing the girls needed this year was new school shirts. The twins are moving to the Juniors this term, and so they all needed school shirts to wear for the first time. We chose these 2 Pack Girls’ Easy to Iron Blouses with short sleeves, perfect for warmer Autumn days.
These are available in every size from 2-3 years to 15-16 years and in two colours blue and white. They cost from £9 to £15 depending on the size you need.
We found the sizes were a really good fit and the blouses are really soft and easy to button. They look very smart with a tie. They also promise to be easy to iron, which is good for me as I’ll now have three sets of shirts to iron every week. Bleugh!
The shirts are really comfortable and have a lot of room in them. This is great for active children who are going to e riding bikes and climbing on the climbing frame, not just sitting at a desk. These shirts allow them to do be themselves.
I was really pleased when I saw the range of gingham Summer dresses, now on offer at Marks and Spencer. We usually only have a couple of local shops where we can buy the dresses as the girls wear lilac. It’s great that I can now buy them on line and in such a range of sizes.
I want the girls to have fun at school and not think about their uniform at all. These Summer dresses are stain resistant and very comfortable and have a sweet little pleat in them. I love the little details, like the pocket, the heart of the zip and the pretty pattern around the collar. Again, there is a large choice of sizes and this is the only place I have seen the sizes go up to 13-14 years, which is brilliant if your child doesn’t fit the size for their age, as many children don’t. These dresses cost from £9.
I will definitely be shopping at Marks & Spencer for uniform again. It was so easy to order everything online and then watch it turn up, neatly packaged, ready to wear. The girls are starting to look forward to the new term and that is in part due to looking forward to wearing their new uniform.
