When I was looking for a draft on my computer I came across this unpublished post from four years ago. The twins look so tiny and cute. It was from when they were in Nursery so they must have just turned four. In Nursery, there are lots of teachers and teaching assistants so we had lots of Thank You cards to make at the end of the year. I thought an apple print would be an easy way to make lots of cards quickly.
It was a lovely craft for a Sunny day as we just got a large roll of paper. and painted outside. It didn’t matter if they made a mess. All we used were some apples cut in half and red and green paint. We made the cards using ready-cut card blanks.

The girls practised stamping the apples on the large piece of paper. They need a little bit of help to make sure it didn’t smudge as they enjoyed sliding it around.

Once they had got used to making good stamps they put one apple print on each card.

The prints looked really sweet.

While they were drying, the twins enjoyed making patterns on the large piece of paper.

We used an ink pad and stamp for the Thank you message on the front but you could write it neatly yourself.

Writing the cards was really good practice.
To finish the design, I drew on a few details with a black felt tip.

The finished cards are simple but cute and are lovely to give to your special teacher.
