Make Your House Cosy with A Rug

Winter has really started drawing in this week. As the weather turns colder we start to look for ways to make our homes feel more warm and cosy. I definitely don’t feel like decorating right now so instead I’ve been looking for lots of easy touches I can add to the house to get it ready for winter. We have got out the warm throws and started to put up some twinkling lights. I was delighted when we were asked to review a rug from The Rug Retailer. This company are one of the leading retailers of rugs in the country. The website is vast and there are so many different types of rugs available, including shaggy rugs, wool rugs, traditional rugs, and hallway runners

A rug is the perfect way to update the look of your house without major work. You can quickly add a pop of colour or brighten up a dull space. I love the wood floors in our house but in Winter it is nice to have something cosier to stand on. I wanted something neutral to match the brown and cream tones in our living room, but I wanted the rug to stand out as well.I chose the  Dallas in Champagne rug as I loved the natural colour and stylish pattern.

I was thrilled with the rug when it arrived. It actually looked even better than in the photos on the website. The rug arrived in a couple of days and was really well packaged. All I had to do was roll it out. It puffed up straight away. There was a slight smell but this disappeared after a few hours. The best thing about the rug is how soft and fluffy it is. My very sensory daughter loves to lie on it and says how comfortable it is.

The rugs are hand tufted for a high-quality finish and available in a choice of four different sizes. I chose the 120X170CM which cost just £119.01 There are also three other neutral colourways to choose from: Charcoal, Champagne and Mauve. This rug adds texture and pattern to the room at an affordable price and makes it instantly seem cosier.

Disclaimer: We were sent the rug for the purposes of this review.
